CC1 Tunnel Of Oppression Develop an understanding of world cultures in historical and contemporary perspectives Rationale: The tunnel of oppression post on my writing corner blog is a good example of the cross cultural competency. The tunnel of oppression exhibit included several different visuals and verbal attacks to minorities as well as particular groups, races, and types of people. These visuals attempted to place me in the shoes of the people who were discriminated against which allowed me to experience their feelings. I was able to understand other cultures and how they are viewed from a worldly perspective

EJ1 Do’s & Don’t of Tutoring Demonstrate knowledge of what ethics is and is not, its relation to academic integrity and its importance in one’s life and work
Rationale: As covered in my podcast recording, tutoring involves continual ethical judgment while interacting with students. Due to graded assignments, academic integrity is a large part of tutoring. Listed as a don't, assisting in students with ANY graded assignments is prohibited. Tutoring has become a tool for many students as they pursue knowledge in different fields of study. Using ethical judgment in tutoring is the difference between a positive experience and a negative one.

EJ2 Demonstrate understanding of common ethical issues and construct a personal framework in which ethical decisions can be made in a systematic, reflective and responsible way. Rationale: As shown in the above document, ethics are a core matter in the field of accounting. In order to grow my understanding of ethical application in accounting situations, I was responsible for establishing a personal response to an accounting dilemma. I created a framework that assessed various aspects of the problem such as:
Who are the parties and what is their involvement
What is the ethical issue at hand
What choices does one have in response to the ethical matter
Who is impacted depending on the decision
My personal response if I were to be the accountant in this situation

M1 Who attends MBA programs?

Demonstrate mathematical literacy through solving problems, communicating concepts, reasoning mathematically and applying mathematical or statistical methods using multiple representations

Rationale: Completing mathematical problems within a class can always seem a bit unrealistic. However, in my Mthsc 309 class, I was assigned problems that intended to use data that provided real life insight. In the document above, I was responsible for analyzing data involved with MBA programs. Statistics and tables only provide as much insight as the interpretation. Therefore, the need for mathematical literacy is essential for the process of converting numbers and data into meaningful concepts that allow for understanding & change. As shown via the table & chart, MBA programs must appeal to certain undergraduate students if they are in need of high quality students to fill their classrooms. As with any higher education institution, demographics are not the reason students attend their schools. Thus, MBA programs can use percentages to solve enrollment issues as well as enhancing the quality of their student body. Research always requires more than one representation thus I created several different perspectives to prove the existing trends.

Rationale: To fulfill an English 103 assignment, I wrote a step by step explanation of developing an annotated bibliography. Due the various components of an annotated bibliography, my final product came to be after a lot of refinement and modification.
